Is Bangalore bachelor friendly?

Bangalore: The IT Hub of India, has emerged as the best destination for young career holders. It is a well-structured cosmopolitan city of India. The real estate industry has grown immensely in last few years. The weather, lifestyle, infrastructure and smart connectivity offers a comfortable living for young bachelors. Bangalore, being a beautiful city, it offers nice areas to live in. However, less than 40% of flats are available here for bachelors. Almost all good areas are surrounded by schools, colleges, hospitals, super markets, restaurants, and malls, etc. It is easy to list down areas on the basis of their rents and connectivity.

Rentals here begin at around Rs 12,000 for a 1 BHK.

MG Road

This is the busiest area in both commercial and residential contexts. Ulsoor Lake area, Lavelle Road and Vittal Mallya Road are the best nearby areas for residences. Here the prices are a little high and start at around Rs 14,000 for a 1BHK.

Indira Nagar is a hot spot for rent in east Bangalore with. This place has Ulsoor, Domlur, Byappanahalli and the Vimanapura Hal airport road to the east. This is one of the most expensive place to stay. 

The above mentioned places are high on rent but are most suited areas for living. If you are willing to locate to the above top-notch places, and are short on pocket, then you may go for flats available on sharing basis.

More reasonable places like Electronics city, Whitefield and Marathahalli have rents ranging between Rs. 5000 to Rs. 18000 depending on sharing and non-sharing options. The majority of IT population stays here and very few locals reside here. Even though Bangalore has versatile options for staying, it is still difficult to find a good place to stay for bachelors. Flat owners do not want to risk the maintenance of their property by renting it out to young working or non-working bachelors. According to owners, single people are careless in attitude and least worried about issues like cleanliness, hiring maids or sometimes even delay in depositing rent. 

The above data, as per highlights the fact that despite Bangalore gradually turning into one of the most important cosmopolitan city of India, is still lacking in availability of places to stay for bachelors.
